Our knives are made with extreme care using high-quality materials at our own knife at WMF in Germany – for perfect function and the best quality.

Performance Cut

In this unique procedure, the inner structure of the blade is optimized by a precisely controlled heat treatment. Each blade is then measured individually by laser to determine the perfect grinding angle and is ground by a robot to obtain an angle with previously unachieved sharpness. For outstanding, long-lasting sharpness – day after day, cut after cut.

Forging makes
all the difference.

Unlike all the other large manufacturers, at WMF we continue to use traditional forging processes. The blades are made of special hardened steel and are processed along their entire length with a forging hammer. Subsequently they are sharpened multiple times and polished until they have a perfectly smooth surface.
